Therapy and coaching visits are available Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm local time and on most Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm local time. Eligibility

What Boeing employees and retirees are eligible for 98point6? Are dependents eligible, too?

98point6 is available to:

All U.S. employees who are eligible to participate in a Boeing-sponsored health plan, including BAO, Boeing Distribution Inc. and Boeing Digital Solutions Inc., even if they are not enrolled. If an employee participates in a Boeing-sponsored health plan, their spouse (or domestic partner, if applicable) and dependents age one or older are eligible if they are enrolled in the employee’s health plan.

All U.S. retirees who are not eligible for Medicare and are enrolled in a Boeing-sponsored health plan. A spouse (or domestic partner, if applicable) and dependents age one or older are eligible if they are enrolled in a Boeing-sponsored health plan and are not eligible for Medicare, even if the retiree is Medicare-eligible and not eligible for 98point6.

As a Boeing employee, can I set up accounts for my dependents?

To access care, your covered spouse (or domestic partner, if applicable) or covered dependents age 18 or older will need to set up their own accounts. Parents who are covered by this service can access care for covered dependents age 1–17.

I’m a retiree. Can my dependents set up accounts?

Your spouse (or domestic partner, if applicable) and dependents age one or older are eligible if they are enrolled in a Boeing-sponsored health plan and are not eligible for Medicare, even if you are Medicare-eligible and not eligible for 98point6.

Can I continue to use 98point6 after my employment at Boeing ends?

If you were eligible for 98point6 before your employment status changed, you will continue to have access to 98point6 through COBRA, and you will be enrolled in COBRA coverage for 98point6 automatically.  Boeing will pay the full cost of COBRA coverage for 98point6, but you will be responsible for any out-of-pocket costs or copayments for 98point6 on-demand care if you utilize the service. Your coverage will continue until you are no longer eligible for COBRA. Complete information about COBRA coverage will be included in the paperwork you receive after your employment ends. 

If my 98point6 coverage was part of my Banner|Aetna HMO election, do I have to enroll in COBRA for medical coverage to be eligible for 98point6? 

No, you will be enrolled in COBRA coverage for 98point6 automatically, and Boeing will pay the full cost of COBRA continuation for 98point6 coverage. You will be responsible for any out-of-pocket costs or copayments for 98point6 on-demand care if you utilize the service—regardless of your decision to continue your medical coverage through COBRA.

Are my covered spouse/domestic partner and children eligible for 98point6 after my active coverage ends? 

If your spouse/domestic partner or children are enrolled in a Boeing-sponsored medical plan when your employment with Boeing ends, they will also be automatically enrolled in COBRA coverage for 98point6, and Boeing will pay the full cost of COBRA for 98point6. Your dependents will be responsible for any copayments associated with 98point6 on-demand care if they utilize the service. Their coverage will continue until they are no longer eligible for COBRA. Complete information about COBRA coverage will be included in the paperwork you receive after your employment ends.

Behavioral Health

Who is eligible for 98point6 behavioral health services?

U.S. employees eligible to participate in a Boeing-sponsored health plan, including BAO, even if they are not enrolled. If an employee participates in a Boeing-sponsored health plan, their spouse/domestic partner and dependents age 18 or older are eligible if they are enrolled in the employee’s health plan.

Retirees who are not eligible for Medicare and are enrolled in a Boeing-sponsored health plan. A spouse/domestic partner and dependents age 18 or older are eligible if they are enrolled in a Boeing-sponsored health plan and are not eligible for Medicare, even if the retiree is Medicare-eligible and not eligible for 98point6.

What is a 98point6 behavioral health visit like?

Care starts with a text-based visit with one of our board-certified physicians. These doctors assess emotional health concerns and direct you to the appropriate level of care with either a certified behavioral health coach or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Coaching and therapy visits are video-based. They can both be scheduled at a time that is convenient for you.

What emotional health concerns and conditions do you support?

Some of the issues 98point6 can help you with are listed below. If you are dealing with a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1.

Conditions that may benefit from coaching include, but are not limited to:

  • Stress
  • Insomnia
  • Life transitions
  • Tobacco cessation support
  • Self-efficacy, self-development
  • Adherence to medical care plan
  • Healthy behavior changes

Conditions that may be addressed in therapy include, but are not limited to:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Adjustment disorders
  • Acute stress disorders
  • Relationship challenges
  • Medication adherence monitoring

Our physicians may recommend a self-referral to an in-person primary care physician, a specialist, urgent care or ER if unable to provide virtual care for a specific patient case or if it is in the best interest of the patient. Conditions that may result in a referral for treatment include more complex emotional health conditions such as Substance use disorder, Bipolar disorder or Schizophrenia or those requiring controlled medications, such as ADHD.

Can my coach or therapist prescribe medications if I need them?

All prescriptions that are medically necessary will be prescribed by a 98point6 physician. The physician will have a license in the state where you’re located and will follow the 98point6 clinic prescription policy. 98point6 licensed therapists are responsible for knowing this policy and supporting medication adherence (e.g., supporting patients to take medication as prescribed by PCP; communicating medication concerns to 98point6 primary care physicians). Therapists and coaches possess understanding of common behavioral health prescription side effects, and report them to the physician if there are safety concerns for ongoing prescription management. Any prescriptions ordered by a 98point6 physician will be covered in accordance with your health plan.

Please note: 98point6 prescription policy limits specific psychiatric medications. If you need that level of care, you may be recommended to self-refer to a psychiatrist.

Can I send my visit record to another therapist or my doctor?

If you would like your 98point6 behavioral health record sent to another provider, you can download the medical record request form and send the completed form, along with a copy of your state-issued ID, to support@98point6.com. 98point6 will then send your behavioral health records to the provider you have listed.

Using 98point6

Can I get care or ask questions about the coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Yes, board-certified physicians are available to answer your questions or provide care as your first line of defense 24/7, even in the comfort of home. By not going to a doctor’s office, Urgent Care Center or ER, you can avoid long wait times and unnecessary exposure to COVID-19 or anything else that could make you ill.

What is a 98point6 visit like?

Once you sign in to 98point6, you will enter basic information about yourself and the Automated Assistant will collect information about why you’re seeking care. A doctor will then join the text-based visit to assess your symptoms to arrive at a diagnosis and answer any health questions you may have. The doctor will explain your diagnosis and treatment plan, giving you all the time you need to ask additional questions. Your care plan will be available shortly after your visit and any necessary prescriptions or labs will be sent to your preferred pharmacy or nearest lab. 

What are some common conditions 98point6 can treat?

Non-work-related illnesses or conditions 98point6 can treat include, but are not limited to:

  • Cough/cold
  • Itchy or sore throat
  • Rashes
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Muscle sprains and strains
  • Pink eye
  • Stomach flu/gastroenteritis
  • Cold sores
  • Urinary tract infections (UTI)

Do I need to make an appointment?

No, you can receive care on-demand anywhere 24/7. No appointment is necessary. Please keep in mind that there may be a wait time for your visit with a physician, as explained in the next FAQ.

What are 98point6's current wait times?

Members start their visits on-demand and immediately with an Automated Assistant. Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, our average wait time for a physician to join the visit was less than 2 minutes. The surge in demand for 98point6 has caused our wait times to increase. For the most up-to-date information about the current wait time to connect with a doctor, visit the 98point6 patient dashboard. For your convenience, you can leave the app and receive an on-device notification when the doctor is available for your visit. Please ensure your 98point6 app notifications remain on in order to receive the on-device message when the physician is available.

98point6 has and is continuing to take a number of steps to decrease wait times including making technology-based improvements that increase efficiencies, and dramatically increasing their physician capacity by hiring. Additionally, 98point6 recently released an in-app COVID-19 Assessment Tool for those looking specifically for coronavirus guidance.

How does 98point6 handle prescriptions?

98point6 physicians can and do prescribe medications when they are appropriate. If a prescription is part of your treatment plan, they’ll send it electronically to your preferred pharmacy. 98point6 does not prescribe controlled substances (such as opioids) or lifestyle medications (such as Viagra or Propecia).

How does 98point6 handle lab tests?

If a 98point6 physician determines that lab work is necessary, they will order a lab test. The tests are typically ordered through Quest or LabCorp, but if one of those labs is not available, or you have a different preference, the 98point6 physician will work with you to send the order to another lab. When your results are ready, 98point6 will reach out to you to set up a visit to review the results when it’s convenient.

How are the costs for prescriptions and labs handled?

Prescriptions or labs ordered by a 98point6 physician will be reimbursed in accordance with your health plan. You will need to provide your insurance information when you are picking up your prescription or visiting a lab.

Can I send my visit record to another physician?

If you would like your medical record sent to another provider, you can download the medical record request form and send the completed form, along with a copy of your state-issued ID, to support@98point6.com. 98point6 will then send your medical records to the provider you have listed.

Is my health information secure?

Your privacy is extremely important to Boeing and 98point6, and the 98point6 product is built to be HIPAA compliant. Additionally, communications with 98point6 are encrypted, and your medical record is stored securely. They’ve established an information security management system based on ISO 27001, the most recognized information security management standard in the world. They also undergo SOC 2 audits annually.

I have heard that my visit may be recorded. How can I be sure my information is secure?

98point6 is committed to continually improving the visit experience for patients. To support this effort, you may notice a notification at the beginning of some visits letting you know the visit may be recorded and used for quality assurance and service improvement. The privacy and security of your information is the top priority for 98point6 and any recorded information will be handled in accordance with HIPAA and will only be used to improve the patient experience.

Does 98point6 support languages other than English?

Yes, 98point6 offers support for other languages during a visit. Physicians are supported by interpreters in over 350 languages who connect with the patient via audio within the app to assist with your medical evaluation. Other parts of the 98point6 experience, including the Automated Assistant and your Care Plan, are currently only available in English.

Pediatrics

How do I request care for my child who is under the age of 18?

If you are an employee, retiree or spouse who is enrolled in a Boeing-sponsored health plan and covered by 98point6, you can request care for your covered child, by visiting as you normally would. A list of your eligible dependents who are age 1–17 will appear. Select who you're seeking care for and complete the child's profile. Next, the automated assistant will gather information about the child's symptoms and will then deliver the information to one of 98point6's board-certified physicians. The physician will have a text-based conversation with you about your child's symptoms, using audio, video or photos as needed. For younger children (i.e., under age 5), the physician will likely request a brief video encounter. Children under the age of 18 are not eligible for 98point6 behavioral health coaching or therapy at this time.

Who can I contact to address this issue?

You will see your covered dependents when you start a visit as you normally would within the 98point6 app. A list of your eligible dependents who are age 1–17 will appear. If you have followed these steps and your dependents are not showing, you can call Worklife at 866-473-2016. Have your BEMSID and Worklife password available. When prompted, say, “Health & Insurance.” A service representative can answer questions. If you retired before 2011, call 866-504-4256 and follow the same steps.
